What is the difference of buying on the internet versus buying from Owl Time Clock?

Owl Time Clock is the only company in Canada which offers on-site service across the country. This allows us to service your equipment on your premises, saving you down time and excessive labour costing errors. If you buy from online vendors, you have to return your clock and wait for a replacement which is costly to a business. Owl also services warranty work on your premises, same day or next day.

Is my fingerprint template kept private?

During finger scan enrollment, unique points are referenced on an employee’s finger and an algorithm converts these points into a mathematical template made up of 1s and 0s. It does not collect, store, or transmit an employee’s fingerprint nor can it be reverse-engineered into one.

All of our new clocks have an 8-hour battery back-up and once you plug the clock back in the time will be correct.

Can I have a bell that synchronizes to my time clock to ring for breaks or lunch?

Wireless Wall clocks

If they are wireless how do the clocks communicate?

Owl offers two types of systems: The POE system using CAT5 network cable or a wireless system that utilizes a low watt wireless transmitter and which does not require any type of wire to be run.

It states online that some systems require an FCC license that I need to purchase annually, do I need one for the Owl System?

No, you do not need to purchase a license (at an annual cost) because Owl uses a low watt transmitter which does not interfere with other communication systems and enables you avoid the need to purchase a yearly license from the FCC (Federal Communication Commission).

Will the wireless LED clock run on a battery?

The wireless LED clocks draw too much power so a 110v outlet will be needed for each clock site.
