Owl Time Clock Sells Software Division

Owl Time Clock sells the Assets of its Software Division to Synerion North America Inc.

TORONTO — Owl Time Clock (formerly under another name) announced this week the sale of the assets of its Software Division to Synerion North America. During that same week, the remaining Time Clock division was rebranded Owl Time Clock. Owl Time Clock, a workforce management company with almost 50 years’ experience, launched its first workforce management software TimeZone™ in 2001. The company’s development house was located in Toronto. Over the years, the firm successfully developed and marketed a sophisticated WFM web offering and provided software and services to large customers like Staples Business Depot and La Vie en Rose. The decision to sell the assets of the software division was made in order to grow the division by joining with a like-minded competitor to become the largest privately owned workforce management company in Canada. The merger of the Time Clock division with Synerion means more effective, efficient and superior solutions for Synerion’s and Owl Time Clock’s clients. The remaining division, now branded Owl Time Clock, will continue to focus on distribution of various makes of time clocks, security access and simple workforce solutions. Owl Time Clock continues to operate 5 offices in Canada and serves over 10,000 clients nationally.

Ernie Pozzobon, President and CEO of Synerion North America, says this merger will provide expanded capabilities, and better levels of customer support. Tracy Parzych, CEO of Owl Time Clock, believes that Synerion will be able to nurture and grow the old System Division. She suggests, “The merger will enable the software to become even stronger and bring new opportunities to the employees”.

Ms. Parzych adds, “The sale of the software division will enable Owl Time Clock to focus on growing our product offering to the clients of our Time Clock Division. Some of our customers have been with us for decades!” She claims, “The rebranding has added some differentiation and edge to our marketing – the old brand will continue to live with the TimeZone™ product now associated with Synerion. Our new Owl Time Clock brand will enable us to launch a fresh start with fresh new products. Sometimes, brands can become outdated and after almost 50 years we are looking forward to a more updated name and look!”
